I began printmaking in the late 1960s, during the Vietnam War, and my prints have ever since been on themes of social justice, civil liberties, war and peace, the environment. In recent years images of family history have also emerged. I am a third generation Californian, born in Sacramento, now residing in Atherton, California, and Port Angeles, Washington. I am married, with two grown daughters, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Education: Stanford University, ‘B. A., 1964. University of California, Davis, 1957, and Sacramento City College, 1954 – 1955: studied with Wayne Thiebaud. Studied photogravure: Crown Point Press, San Francisco, CA 1993, 1994,1995; lithography: San Francisco State University, 1982, with Barbara Foster; intaglio: College of San Mateo, San Mateo, CA 1970 and 1971.
